Very unreliable
I was hopeful thinking value for money but Hugh variations with readings compared to finger pricks making it very unreliable. I suppose you get what you pay for. BTW the "The great product better than libre" review below is mine as well ... not surprisingly pharmacy directs deficiency crops up again ... I should be amending that one instead of writing this new review. Will test the Libre 2 ( sadly not 3 yet because we are deprived as a 3rd world country) and will give urll me 2 cents worth.

Desperate type 1 diabetic hoping for a CGM that just works.

Great product better than libre
I've tried Aidex and Libre and recommend the Aidex over libre. Not only is Aidex 50% cheaper than Libre their customer service is far superior that than of Abbot in South Africa. Also I'm of the view that abbot is dumping their old stock in South Africa... they were selling only libre 1 in SA whilst libre 3 was out overseas

Great product
I think this is an awesome product, very good design and high quality.

I have used Libre in the past but decided to try out this more affordable option and was pleasantly surprised.

With the Libre, if I wanted to get readings synced to my phone automatically, I had to buy an expensive third party bluetooth module that you have to stick on top of the Libre with a very unpleasant glue sticker.

Aidex has a very clever system where the sensor that is injected has a connector where their bluetooth module plugs in and clamps on securely without the need for extra sticky glue that is hard to get off and clean. With the bluetooth module attached, it is still a fairly small package that is comparable with other products on the market.

With my research into Aidex I've read some bad reviews about inaccurate readings but honestly, every person is slightly different and therefore it will almost certainly not just be accurate directly after warmup. I did manual callibration about 4 times, in the morning and evening for 2 days and thereafter it was pretty much spot on every time I double checked.

The mobile app also gives you all the information you need and has alarms for various conditions to make sure you can react correctly.

I would have liked a little better integration into other apps to pull in physical activity (garmin, google fit, samsung health) and food intake (MyFitnessPal). This is something lacking in almost all the glucose tracking apps.
